This regular 16mm camera setup enables you to shoot sync footage with a full brightness viewfinder via the Som Berthiot 17-85mm lens!
No longer do you have to squint to try to see a very dark image through the bolex viewfinder on a bright sunny day. On this Som Berthiot lens, the viewfinder comes out BEFORE the aperture of the lens, meaning you will always see a full brightness image in the viewfinder, no matter how closed off your aperture is!
All of the gear has all been inspected and tested and appears to function correctly and be in good working condition. In particular, the camera / motor / battery + grip has been film tested, with the film being developed and available to watch below! This footage was shot recently, and shows very nice registration. The images HAVE NOT been color corrected at all - this is straight from Niagra Custom Lab processing / Frame Discreet transfer, so there is a variation in exposure based on the operator's control of the camera.
The 400ft mag + MM Mag Motor have been tested with film, but a dummy roll. I did not have the funds to shoot and process and transfer a full 400ft roll, but when loaded with a dummy roll and tested it all appears to work normally.
